the first days in Germany (5): around the campus

After everything is done, I can take a walk around my dormitory, found something interesting,

a sign of history, this time, I am feeling so close to the war II, which was only available to me on TV,

It is a typical scence that I can see almost everywhere, sometimes, I was wondering if I have been here before,

something unknown,

dog,

and dog again,
It seems I am the only person who is walking in the forest without a dog,

It is a small cross besides my dormitory, but there are lots of red-green lights, Guess how many?

The exact number is 14 sets red-green lights, incredible in such a small cross

the first days in Germany (4): closer to Bochum and the University

Ready to go?
Oh, really a lot of stuffs in Markus cute car, Let me take a picture, Markus is laughing "NO ..."

No body knows how to go to Bochum, but this magic GPS just guided us to the EXACTLY building, my dormitory,

Check in, take a look of my tiny room, honestly, it is a little hard for me to accept just leaving Stefanie's nice flat for 1 hour, :( but anyway, it is the place for me lying down tonight,

Take a look out from the window,

Then, Need to get some idea into the Campus,

Longly, longly, longly...

Go to downtown to handle bank issues, get some impression of the city, I asked Markus what is his idea of the city, he said "actually, ugly, no buildings are interesting", hmmm, good point

some thing similar with Shenzhen, that is globalzation

the first days in Germany (3): day 2 in Cologn

Markus joined us after his Italy holiday with some nice cakes,

Taking a walk in a real forest, comparing with the small woods in Shenzhen

the first days in Germany (2): nice time in Cologne

Stefanie's beautiful gardon:

My first German lunch, but first of all, Lesson 1 of how to handle knife and fork:

haha, Stefanie's lucky number:

Ready for a bicycle ride?

A statue? of cause not, it is a human being, good idea to make money :)

We are getting closer to the Great Cathedral:

Getting inside to light a candle for Maria,

Climb up to the top of the Cathedral, puhhh, exactly 509 steps, take a look around, it is the peak of Cologne city,

Looks like we are in a cage, but there were some crazy guys jumping out here, oh, the lord cannot save them, abso-fucking-lutely dead, 97.25 meters high,

Head to the bridget over the Rhine, capture the ICE train by chance,

Take a rest in the forest at the country side, nice beer,

the first days in Germany(1): Frankfurt to Cologne

Before I left China, I was told that I can take ICE from Frankfurt to Cologne, it is very fast, 300KM/hour, and I can make phone call at the train to notify Stefanie when and where I will arrive, the train started to run a few seconds right after I jumped on it, COOL, it runs really fast, but the assistant told me that the phone was broken, oops, it seems I will be wondering at Cologne station for a while, wihle the man sitting against me is so nice that he dial Stefanie's phone for me, MANY times, because when the train was running through the tunnel, there was no signal, but finally, I got the chance to shout out "hello, Stefanie, I am on the ICE train already...." There is always a way out, isn't it?

Here we are, the Cologne station:

The mobile-gentleman said "hey, turn around and take a look", WOW, WOW, WOW, the Cologne Cathedral is right HERE:

one more,

anther one,
